Kyle E. Crake graduated from Texas A&M University in 1982 with a BBA degree in Accounting. He worked with ARCO/Vastar for 13 years in revenue auditing and marketing. Kyle joined Progress Energy in March 1995 as the Director of Bulk Power Marketing in the System Planning & Operations Department. In February 1997, the Wholesale Power Department was formed and Kyle was named Vice President. After the merger with Florida Power Corporation in 2000, he became Vice President of the Energy Trading Department. In March 2002, he became Vice President, Merchant Commercial Operations in Progress Ventures. In September 2002, he was named Senior Vice President, Finance and Business Development in Progress Fuels. In September 2003, he became President of PMI. Lisa I. Cooper is a graduate of Syracuse University and Syracuse School of Law. She joined Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle, currently Nixon Peabody, directly from law school in 1993 where she practiced environmental law in the Rochester, New York and the D.C. offices. In 1993, Ms. Cooper joined Carolina Power & Light Company, currently Progress Energy, Inc., in Raleigh, North Carolina, as Associate General Counsel of environmental, health and safety matters. She remained in that position for over ten years. Ms. Cooper then became the Director of Environmental Health & Safety for the Progress Energy unregulated companies. After 18 months as Director of EH&S where she assisted in instituting standard environmental, health and safety management systems across all of the unregulated companies, Ms. Cooper joined PMI. S. Frank Kirkconnell helps set strategic direction for PMI. He manages the day-to-day operations and provides support for business development activities. Frank has been with PMI since the company was founded and is a seasoned veteran of fly ash beneficiation and utilization. Originally employed by Florida Power Corporation in 1973, he also has considerable utility power-related design, construction and operations experience. He is co-developer of the CBO™ process and was key to its commercialization, as well as, the commercialization of the Aardelite process, used to make aggregate from otherwise unmarketable fly ash. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer. Joe W. Cochran has approximately 35 years in the power industry and has been with PMI since the company was formed in 1986. He was instrumental in the development of the CBO™ process and is holder many international patents, as well as author of numerous technical papers. Joe is a registered Professional Engineer and instructor for the Thermodynamics portion of a Fundamentals of Engineering review course. He was the recipient of the U.S. Department of Energy Award for Innovative Development in Reduction of Unburned Carbon on Utility Fly Ash in 2003. Robert Oliva has approximately 15 years of strategic, financial, and commercial experience. He has overall responsibility for the Accounting and Finance functions. He is also responsible for commercial aspects of CBO transactions, including deal structuring, financial modeling, contract negotiations, and account management. Robert co-led the development of the strategic business plan for PMI. He has a BBA from Baruch College, the City University of New York and a MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School, UNC, both with honors. William J. Bartle is responsible for managing a lightweight aggregate plant and the fly ash produced at the Crystal River Generating Complex. Bill has also successfully started up four CBO plants. Bill joined PMI in 1982 working in management at their alternative fuel site in Tampa, FL. Bill started his career in the auto industry and completed a four year Intext Communications System apprenticeship at TRW in Detroit. Bill has Journeyman cards in three trades which include Electrician, Millwright, and Machine Repair. Len Evans is a retired Naval Officer, who worked in the Independent Power industry for over 12 years prior to joining PMI in April, 2006. Len graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Charlene White has over fifteen years experience in Accounting, Treasury Management, Financial Planning and Financial Analysis. Ms. White manages all of the Accounting, Financial Reporting and Financial Planning for PMI. Ms. White graduated with a BBA in Accounting Summa cum Laude from Southeastern University, and an MBA from Virginia Tech. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and North Carolina. Paul A. Longo has over fifteen years of operation and maintenance experience in the power industry, including nuclear, fossil, gas turbine and waste to energy. He plans, directs and provides operational assistance, analysis and reporting of CBO pilot plant activities. He also will provide engineering assistance for the start-up of new CBO plants. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. |
